Adapt Learning project welcomes Can Studios as official collaborators
Can Studios has been welcomed as an official collaborator of the community-led Adapt Learning project. It’s recognition of the company’s ongoing commitment to working with, and further developing, this open source tool.
The Adapt Learning project’s responsive technology – including the easy-to-use Adapt authoring tool – allows anyone to create responsive elearning.
Achieving collaborators status on the project means that Can Studios becomes a member of the core team and has direct access to the core codebase. In return they will contribute staff time to maintain and develop aspects of the project, alongside the leadership team.
Since 2015, Adapt has been Can Studios’ tool of choice when developing bespoke elearning for its clients. This is because Adapt’s HTML5 courses offer a truly seamless learner experience across desktop and mobile devices.

Can Studios software engineers have developed new themes and interactions as well as improving the authoring tool interface and workflow – to boost productivity when building extensive or complex learning.
As official collaborators, Can Studios will now give that expertise back to the community by leading areas of the project development.

Can Studios recently made its easy-to-use customisation of the authoring tool – complete with a WYSIWYG preview editor – available as part of a supported package. The Adapt from Can Studios subscription includes initial training, full set up and installation, secure hosting, daily backups and ongoing support.
Paul Hilton explained:
“With Adapt from Can Studios we take care of all the technical stuff – so users can just log in and start creating. This means that even if you don’t have the skills or resources needed to install, set up and maintain the open source tool, you can still create Adapt-based elearning.”
