The Environment Agency has a large fleet of mobile equipment, from excavators to cranes, mowers to fork lift trucks. All this equipment uses hydraulics to power them or their attachments, and even their static machinery utilises hydraulic systems, such as floodgates or locks.
There was a concern that a lack of awareness regarding the dangers of faulty or worn out hydraulic hoses could result in either a serious injury to a member of staff or an environmental pollution incident. Pirtek, Europe’s number one provider of hydraulic equipment solutions also wanted to increase their own staff’s knowledge of safety considerations.
To help keep staff and the environment safe, we developed a training video that provides crucial information on the construction and components of hydraulic systems, plus information on essential safety topics such as the inspection and maintenance requirements of hydraulic machinery.
