Current roles

Sys Admin / Dev Ops

Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience
Full time – office based

We’re looking for a new member of our dev ops / sys admin team to help support the applications we run in production, in addition to our development environments.

Across our portfolio we predominantly use popular frameworks for PHP and MySQL on the back-end, with a few projects based on Node.js. All our systems are hosted on an AWS infrastructure – some using just single instances, others using complex auto-scaling architectures composing of many AWS components.

You will be involved in projects from concept, through development and into production. You’ll need to consider deployment, scalability and security at all times and help the team implement best practice on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have sufficient skills to get stuck into projects from day one, and a desire to learn and get involved in new innovations as part of their career development.

While the role is mostly normal office hours, there will be occasional out-of-hours deployments that you would be expected to take a part in.

The following skills and abilities are essential:

  • Setup and administration of LAMP based stacks
  • Experience with AWS (or other) cloud architecture
  • PHP
  • SQL

Any of the following will help set you apart from the crowd:

  • Docker
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • PHP frameworks: Zend / Symfony / Laravel
  • Mongo / NoSQL
  • Node.js
  • Mobile app development
  • Python
  • Git
